( Through This I Wish to Share my insights as an actors /trainer with my students  and other acting aspirants )

SOFTEN A JOINT BEFORE THE POINT OF CONTACT WHILE DOING ACTIONS

‘ ‘ SUNNY BHAIYA’S  DHAI KILO KA  HAATH IS  ACTUALLY  A  BABY SOFT HAND’’

I was shooting for the Climax of ‘Gadar’- ek prem katha, in kolyat  40kms away from Bikaner (October  2000 ). We were at the top of a steam locomotive’s coal storage section. Mr. Sunny Deols body double Nasir was to shower series of punches in my tummy. I had tied a protection pad inside my Pakistani army officers uniform. His punches were very impactful and harsh. Then the counter shot  was set up now Sunny Bhaiya was to give the blows, I was little anxious , how would I take that  ‘’DHAI KILO KA HAATH’ to my utter surprise those HANDS WERE BABY SOFT and the FACE FURIOUS.

So the secret is  ‘’ KEEP THE JOINT BEFORE THE CONTACT POINT SOFT.’’ Ditto when you are executing a fall. Don’t be stiff. ‘’ FALL SOFTLY WITH THE FELINE NIMBLENESS’’

I know actors ,who get so carried away that they actually start injuring their co actors. Keep in mind, never  loose trust of your co actors.

Once I remember, I was shooting with Divya Dutta for T.V. serial ‘’’’ FOR ZEE T.V (1997). The sequence required me to hold her arm and drag her out of the house. Like a fool, I was so much moved by the situation  and held her arm so tight. That the poor girls arm turned blue. So, be  ‘’ SOFT  AT THE POINT OF CONTACT, BUT HOLD THE EXPRESSIONS ON YOUR FACE, NEVER BETRAY TRUST OF YOUR CO ACTOR.
