(Through this I wish to share my insights as an actor/trainer with my students and other acting aspirants)
“KEEP THE EDITORS PERSPECTIVE IN MIND”
MOST CURIOUS AUDIENCE IS THE EDITOR,
WHAT HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE, WOULD BE SHOWN TO THE VIEWER
An ideal EDITOR is one whose curiosity and engagement is child like. So as actors performing for the camera keep h
is sensibility and perspective in mind.
While on a set when you are technically executing a scene, keep in mind during your close up or an over the shoulder shot a counter of your co-actor will be inserted.
This counter insert would be put the moment you stop speaking. ‘ The moment your line is over the curious EDITOR would like to see how yor co-actor takes it.’
So, all your appropriate feelings and expressions should come before you start speaking because the moment you stop, the space will go to the other actor!!!
