ACTING TIPS, FOR YOUR CAREER IN BOLLYWOOD-23
(Through this I wish to share my insights as an actor/trainer with my students and other acting aspirants)
“DUBBING”
NEVER RUSH TO CATCH UP WITH YOUR LIP MOVEMENT IN THE MONITOR
Its simple physics. Light travels faster then sound. So, the visuals are moving 3/4th of a second faster then the sound. Thus sound is lagging behind, there is a
difference of 19 1/2 frames between the visuals and the sound.
In the dubbing studio, when you see your visuals and hear the pilot(the original sound track) you will realize that the sound is slightly lagging behind.
” DON’T PANIC AND TRY TO CATCH UP WITH THE VISUAL”
Just go by the sound track. Initially you would find it a bit odd. Once you develop that sense, it will be a cake walk.
